You could be the next Amy Lippman or Christopher Keyser!
Ever thought about writing for The Salingers?  If we proceed with a Ninth Season, we will need a new, full-time writer to join our staff.

Qualities we're looking for in this person are:

--  Responsible!  Able to meet weekly deadlines
--  Available!  Should be able to write four to five scenes per episode
--  Dedicated!  Of course, you should be a "fan" of the show and know the characters inside and out
--  Talented!  Able to write to the show's level... or make it better!

If this sounds like you, please submit a sample scene to us.  Here are a few guidlelines for the sample scene:

Length: Nothing set in stone here, but make sure your scene is long enough to give us a true feel for your writing.

Format:  Starting with Episode 19 of the 8th season, we began writing The Salingers in Screenplay format.  If you're familiar with Final Draft or Movie Magic screenwriting software, it'll be a piece of cake.  If not, you can use Microsoft Word and tab in order to replicate the format.  A quick glance at any of the last six episodes will give you a feel for the format.  It doesn't have to be perfect, but the closer the better.

What to write:  Choose one (or both) of the scene summaries below, and create a scene based on its description:

Scene 1)  Claudia is with Sarah at one of her photo shoots.  A photographer approaches Claudia and asks her if she's ever thought about modeling.  Claudia thinks it's a come-on, but the photographer convinces her that he's sincere.  The scene ends with her thinking about it.

Scene 2)  Julia and Griffin are trying to decide where to go on vacation.  Julia is looking online and Griffin is looking through a book.  They both make a couple suggestions that the other doesn't like.  They're frustrated as the scene ends.

Submission:  Please submit your scene by emailing it to:
thesalingerspo5@hotmail.com
.  Title your email "Sample Scene."  If you have any questions, you can send them to the same address.

That's it!  We will respond to all submissions.  Good luck!
